Membership Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Smooth Combat Academy.
By joining as a member, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
Please read them carefully before completing your Direct Debit or starting your membership.

Membership and Payments
Membership fees are collected monthly via Direct Debit through GoCardless on a rolling basis.
This Direct Debit can be cancelled by either party.
Payments are due on the date shown in your GoCardless agreement.
It is your responsibility to ensure your payment method remains active and up to date.

Cancellations
You may cancel your membership at any time by giving at least 7 days’ notice before your next payment date.
Notice must be given in writing by email to sam@smoothcombatacademy.com.
If notice is received after this time, your next payment may still be collected, and your membership will end at the end of that paid period.

Refunds
Membership fees are non-refundable once collected.
Refunds will not be issued for non-attendance, changes in personal circumstances, or failure to use the facilities.
By completing your Direct Debit, you acknowledge that the service and training opportunities are made available to you whether or not you choose to attend.

Direct Debit Guarantee
All Direct Debit payments are protected by the Direct Debit Guarantee.
If you believe a payment has been taken in error, you may request a refund directly through your bank.
However, Smooth Combat Academy reserves the right to review such cases and may refuse re-enrolment if refunds are requested outside of these Terms.

Membership Freezes and Exceptions
Memberships may be paused in exceptional circumstances (e.g. injury, illness) at the discretion of management.
Requests for pauses or freezes must be made in writing with appropriate supporting information.

Conduct and Behaviour
Members are expected to uphold the values of Smooth Combat Academy - respect, integrity and teamwork.
Any behaviour that endangers others, damages property, or disrupts classes may result in immediate suspension or termination of membership without refund.

Health and Safety
All members must complete a waiver form before participating in any training.
There are QR codes placed around the gym that link directly to this form.
You are responsible for notifying staff of any changes to your health status.
You agree to train at your own risk and follow instructor guidance at all times.

Changes to Terms
Smooth Combat Academy reserves the right to update or amend these Terms & Conditions with reasonable notice.
Continued membership after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
